Monmouthshire Building Society, founded in 1869, is a successful, regional Society operating throughout South Wales. The Society is regulated by the Financial Services Authority and is committed to remaining independent. Through its 11 Branch Offices, extensive Agency network, IFA and General Insurance subsidiaries the Society services the financial requirements of a membership predominantly concentrated throughout South Wales. The Group has assets in excess of £770 million and employs over 120 staff.
The Society is seeking to recruit an individual with suitable senior marketing and/or senior general management experience to complement the existing range of skills on the Board. The successful candidate will be expected to bring an independent judgement to bear on the affairs of the Board and in the representation of the membership. It is anticipated that the appointment will begin in September 2012.
The role is an extremely demanding one requiring a commitment of upwards of 35 days per year, for which fees will be paid at an appropriate level.
