New Manager Cwmbran

The Society is pleased to announce the appointment of Ruth Morgan as Cwmbran Branch Manager, who takes over from Maria Saunders, who has been promoted to Regional Manager.

Ruth has over 30 years’ experience in the financial services industry having briefly worked as a Self Employed Consultant for Lloyds Bank before going on to work at Royal Bank of Scotland and NatWest.

Before joining the Society, Ruth’s roles included Area Quality Manager, Area Regulatory Manager and Area Mortgage Manager where she was responsible for Operational Risk/Compliance and Regulatory Matters & Mortgages across South Wales and South Midlands. Ruth has also worked as a volunteer at an Orangutan and Sun Bear Sanctuary in Borneo and regularly undertakes voluntary work for Cancer Research. Originally from Cardiff, Ruth now lives in Cwmbran with her daughter.

Ruth said: ‘I’m very excited to step into the position of Branch Manager at a time of great success and expansion within Monmouthshire Building Society. I’m passionate about learning and personal development and it’s been a real joy getting to know many of our local customers over the past few weeks.”

She continued: “It’s heartening to work with Cwmbran’s experienced team, and I look forward to building upon the Society’s focus on excellent customer service, welcoming both existing and new customers in the Cwmbran area and beyond to come in and find out about the range of mortgage and savings products we have available.”

Maria Saunders, Regional Manager, commented: “I’m delighted with Ruth’s appointment and will certainly miss many of the friends I’ve made whilst working as Branch Manager. Ruth’s proven track record in the financial services industry, coupled with her friendly nature, will no doubt prove to be an asset for the Society and I’d like to wish her every success in the new position.”
