As part of the opening, 50 lucky families were also given the opportunity to meet Luke and Patrick at the branch. The families, who had entered a competition to win tickets, spent the morning chatting with the players, getting autographs and having photographs taken.

The Cwmbran branch has been relocated only a short distance from its former home within the shopping centre to the new premises. The new branch offers enhanced customer facilities such as improved disabled access, a suite of new private interview rooms, additional space and a more welcoming environment for all.

The new branch will continue to offer a competitive range of mortgage, savings and insurance products, coupled with the personal approach to customer service that the Society is well known for.

Mr Andrew Lewis, Chief Executive of Monmouthshire Building Society, said, “The new Cwmbran branch is a key part of the Society’s long-term plan to develop and improve the delivery of our services across South Wales.”

He continued: “The new branch will allow the Society to provide a more satisfying customer experience to both new and existing customers in the local area. We were delighted that Luke Charteris and Patrick Leach were able to join us to celebrate the official opening of our new Cwmbran branch, and that we were able to offer local rugby enthusiasts the opportunity to meet them up close.”
