Monmouthshire Building Society is delighted to announce a new lucrative sponsorship deal with Newport County AFC.

The substantial three year deal, which starts next season, will see the Society become Newport County AFC’s financial services partner. As part of this agreement, the Society will also become the preferred suppliers of mortgages and saving products and services to Newport County, and its members.

The sponsorship deal will also include the re-launch of the Affinity Savings account scheme that the Club has with the Society. This account offers the Club’s supporters the opportunity to open a Newport County AFC Savings account, from which they can benefit from competitive interest rates. Each year, Monmouthshire Building Society will make a donation to Newport County, equivalent to 1% per annum of the daily balance held in all accounts operated by club supporters. The more its supporters save, the more Newport County organisation will receive. For more information and to apply online, visit www.monbs.com/newportcounty.

Newport County AFC’s Chief Executive, Dave Boddy said “We are delighted to be working in partnership with such a high profile and established organisation within Newport. It represents an excellent deal for the football club and will provide us with further opportunities within the savings and mortgages sector. We look forward to developing a positive long term relationship with Monmouthshire Building Society”

Andrew Lewis, Chief Executive of Monmouthshire Building Society commented “As a regional building society, we believe it’s important to show our support to the local communities we serve. Sport is a major contributor to the cultural vibrancy of the community, and we are delighted to develop a new partnership with Newport County AFC”.
