The Society has been commended as a ‘Regional Lending Provider of the Year’ at this year’s 2014 Moneyfacts Awards, reflecting the ongoing excellence and quality of our mortgage lending service.

Moneyfacts’ highly coveted awards are totally independent, are presented annually for product excellence and outstanding service, and cover products from across a wide range of financial services. Winners were announced at a prestigious ceremony in The Pavilion at the Tower of London on Tuesday 3rd June.

The Society’s commendation as a ‘Regional Lending Provider of the Year’ follows the Society’s recent recognition by Moneyfacts Group as a provider of a five star ‘best buy’ mortgage. This is the second consecutive year that the Society has been recognised by the Moneyfacts Awards, after being highly commended in the same category at last year’s ceremony.

Commenting upon the award, Andrew Lewis, Chief Executive, said: “The Society has consistently offered competitive high quality products which, combined with our prudent management, have allowed us to maintain our strong and enviable track record for mortgage lending”.

He continued: “The recent introduction of our extensive range of competitive fixed rate products which sit alongside a number of low deposit mortgages and Help to Buy – Wales products, demonstrates our commitment to providing competitive options for those who may be thinking of remortgaging or moving home, and we’re delighted that this has been recognised with the commendation from Moneyfacts.”

In 2011, the Society was also recognised by the Mortgage Finance Gazette Awards as ‘Best Regional Building Society’, awarded to the mutual lender who offered the most consistently competitive mortgage rates over the previous year. The Society was also awarded runner up status in 2012.
