  • Taking care of your funeral costs

The annual SunLife Cost of Dying report* reveals that the cost of a basic funeral has risen for the 14th year in a row and now stands at £4,078, an increase of 4.7% in just one year. The report also reveals that the overall cost of dying, that is, the cost of a funeral, the amount spent on the send-off (discretionary costs including the memorial, flowers and the wake) and the cost of hiring professionals to administer the estate, has also risen in the past year, from £8,802 to £8,905*.

With funeral costs rising every year*, a Golden Charter Funeral Plan offers an easy way to pay for your funeral director’s services at a cost that’s fixed at current prices**.

    Flexible ways to pay

You can cover the full cost of your plan in a single payment, pay over 12 months at no extra cost with a deposit of only £49 or spread the cost over an agreed period between two and 30 years with our low cost instalment option, making the plan even more affordable.

Alternatively you can pay by fixed monthly payments. No deposit is required and the amount you pay and the payment term is dependent on your age and which plan you choose.
