Society Appoints New Non-Executive Director

The Society announces the appointment of Trevor Barratt as a non-executive director.

Trevor has more than 25 years’ experience as a senior executive in governance and risk management, with the majority of this time spent in mainstream retail and commercial banking. He was formerly the Head of Strategic Risk for Lloyds Bank, working within the Group Risk function, and subsequently he became the Chief Risk Officer of Charities Aid Foundation Bank, before becoming a director in the Duncan Lawrie Private Banking Group.

An Associate of the Chartered Institute of Financial Services he is a non-executive director of a private bank, with an international clientele. He is also a member of the International Compliance Association, and the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.

Haydn Warman, the Society’s Chairman, said: "I am delighted that Trevor will be joining us as a member of the board. His in depth knowledge of the financial services industry coupled with his extensive experience in risk management will be of great value to the Society. I very much look forward to working with Trevor.”

Commenting on his appointment, Trevor said “It is a privilege to have been asked to join the Society’s Board at such an exciting time in its long history. The overriding factor that was decisive in my agreement to join was the focus across staff, management and Board Members to conduct the business in the right manner on behalf of its members.”
