Monmouthshire Building Society Charitable Foundation is pleased to have passed an incredible financial milestone this month, having donated over £200,000 to local groups and charities.

Since its launch, the Foundation has supported more than 300 local organisations and charities, representing a significant contribution to communities across South Wales and the South West of England.

Michael Lane, Chairman of Monmouthshire Building Society Charitable Foundation, said: “The Foundation is delighted to have passed such an incredible milestone, highlighting our ongoing support for so many worthwhile organisations across South Wales and the South West. With a number of funding streams drying up lately, it’s even more important that we continue our work giving back to our local communities and I’d encourage as many groups as possible to apply for funding.”

The Foundation is happy to receive applications from all walks of life, such as sports groups, the environment, education and the arts. The Foundation also welcomes any donations or bequests from individuals. The more funding received, the more local organisations and charities will benefit.

Full information and guidance on how to apply can be found in the Foundation’s application form. Copies are available from any Monmouthshire Building Society branch or agency, and can also be printed off from the ‘Community’ section of the Society’s website.
