Monmouthshire Building Society launches new mobile app
It’s the first time the Building Society has introduced an app, and it has been working alongside app designers Consectus to ensure that it’s an additional, safe and secure way for customers to access their savings alongside the website and branches.
And, while many financial institutions require customers to visit their websites to start a new savings account or ISA application, customers who download the MonBS App, can apply and begin saving in under five minutes.
Martyn Jenkins, Head of Business Solutions, from Monmouthshire Building Society said: “We are delighted to have developed an app which gives our customers an additional way to manage their money with us. We’ve worked hard ensure the app is a safe and secure way of managing savings, helping our customers to access our services, whenever and wherever they like, at the touch of a button.
“Of course, having an app doesn’t mean we’re moving away from our traditional branch services. We’ll still be on hand on the high street for customers to pop in with their passbooks and on the end of the phone, as well as on our website. This is just an extra way for customers to manage their money and we can’t wait to see the difference it makes to our customers.”
The MonsBS App, which is available for Apple and Android, allows customers to transfer savings from one account to another as well as external transfers to other bank accounts. Customers can also view all of their MonBS accounts in one place, making it easier to navigate, manage, and make smarter financial choices.
The MonBS App uses Face and Touch ID access ensuring that users’ account information is fully protected.
The app also offers the ability to open many additional products, such as ISAs and General Savings accounts, that are offered by the Building Society as well as a branch
locator, with contact details and opening hours and a comprehensive frequently asked questions (FAQs) and support section.
Customers are also able to run statements through the app, with a chosen date range and have direct access to Monmouthshire Building Society’s blog.
The MonBS app is available from the Apple and Google Play store.
