Over the past few months our elves in Head Office have been busy gathering gifts for Monmouthshire County Council's Christmas Toy Appeal.
We had a phenomenal response, with piles of toys, books and gifts mounting up, ready to be loaded onto Santa's sleigh.
This week, we were delighted to deliver nine large bags to Monmouthshire County Council, where they'll be gifted to looked after children in the local area in the run up to Christmas.
Stuart Clarke, Group Treasurer at MBS, organised the appeal. He said: "A big thank you to the branches, members and colleagues who supported the Toy and Gift Appeal. The generosity shown has been truly amazing.
"Monmouthshire County Council were delighted and a little overwhelmed by what we had managed to achieve. They are currently looking after 250 children and young adults in the local area and the gifts will make a real difference to them.
"This represents everything that is so good about the Society, colleagues and members working together to support those in our community that are less fortunate than ourselves.
"Delivering all those wonderful gifts is my favourite day of the year and… it's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas!"
A huge thank you and well done to our Finance, Treasury and BI Team who collected the toys and gifts.
We know that the donations will help make a difference and offer a brighter Christmas for those children who need it most.
