Meet our new Head of Operations
The Society is delighted to announce the appointment of Graham Sumsion as its new Head of Operations.
Graham will take up the new position from Friday 1st July, leaving his current role as the Society’s Lending Operations Manager.
During his four year career with the Monmouthshire Building Society, Graham has supported various strategic initiatives, including supporting the Society to purchase its first mortgage book and re-introducing commercial lending. He was also the figurehead for the Society’s market leading Energy Efficiency trial (the Valuer Project).
Graham has held many leadership roles within financial services, including during his 15 year career with Barclays.
Chief Operating Officer Dawn Gunter said, “I’m really pleased to see Graham further his career with the Society. He has shown commitment, passion and skill in all his pursuits and I know he will apply these attributes with unwavering dedication in his role as Head of Operations.”
Graham said of his appointment, “I have loved my time working for the Society so far. The culture, values and people are fantastic and the Society has an exciting and ambitious strategy. I’m looking forwards to leading the Operations teams in the coming months and years to support our members, communities and colleagues to thrive.”
