Society supports Digital Innovation at South Wales Argus Education Awards

Live events are back and last night Chief Executive Officer Will Carroll represented the Society at the South Wales Argus Education Awards, presenting the winner of the Digital Innovation category, with their award.

Will was joined by People Partner Beverley Flood, Product Development Analyst Chris Jeanes, and L&D Consultant and Chair of the Social Responsibility Panel Lisa Roberts for the black-tie event at Rougemont School.

Will said, " It was great for the south east Wales education sector to get together to celebrate after a difficult few years. It was a pleasure to present the award for Digital Innovation to Western Power's Education Officer Nick South for his Shock Tactics approach to teaching young people about staying safe around electricity. When the pandemic prevented in person delivery, Nick joined forces with a local theatre company to deliver an engaging digital experience."

The feeling of admiration was echoed by Lisa Roberts, who added, "It was great to be able to attend the South Wales Education Awards last night, in person, celebrating the success of some fantastic nominees. Congratulations to everyone involved, and to the very worthy winners."

As a purpose driven organisation, the Society is a keen to recognise success and achievements in our local communities and sponsoring award categories at events like this is a great way to show our support.
