Support for members affected by Flybe collapse

We were saddened to hear about the collapse of Flybe last week and are aware that some of our members may be affected. We understand this may be a difficult time for some of our members and we want to reassure you that we are here to help.

Mortgage Payments

We will always do all that we can to support any of our members experiencing financial difficulties.

If you’re having trouble paying your mortgage, or you think you may face difficulty in the future, it’s important to let us know as soon as you can - there are things we may be able to do to help. We will be open and honest with you and look for solutions that suit your individual circumstances.

If you think you may struggle to keep up with your mortgage payments, please get in touch by calling 01633 844 371.

It would be helpful if when you call you have the following information to hand:

  • Details of your income – including any benefits
  • Details of your household spend
  • And any outstanding debts you have and with who

Fraud and Scams

Sadly, criminals will often try to capitalise on such well-publicised events in order to defraud people.

We would advise all members to be wary of any calls, emails or text communications they receive regarding the Flybe collapse.

Scammers may contact you claiming to be from a genuine organisation, such as:

  • Your bank
  • Your building society
  • Thomas Cook or another travel agent
  • Your travel insurance provider
  • Your credit card provider
  • CAA (Civil Aviation Authority) or ATOL

As always, if anyone contacts you requesting personal or bank details, please do not give them out – if in doubt, hang up and contact the organisation using the details on their official website.

Our official contact details and secure contact form can be found here:

You may find it useful to visit the ‘Take Five’ website. They’re an organisation led by UK Finance who offer straight-forward and impartial advice to help everyone protect themselves from preventable financial fraud. Including email deception and phone-based scams as well as online fraud. Particularly where criminals impersonate trusted organisations.
