Win a Taste of Brecon
To celebrate the Society’s new premises on The Bulwark, our Brecon colleagues have created a locally sourced hamper to showcase the best of Brecon produce.
Brecon’s Branch Manager Zoe Mathias commented, ‘We are so happy to have settled into our new home and we wanted to celebrate our love and support for the town by bringing together some of the finest produce made and sold locally. Anyone who visits the new branch between 1st and 25th September can take a raffle ticket and be in with a chance of winning the whole hamper.’
By investing in the town of Brecon with a new, modern looking branch, the Society is upholding its commitment to increasing its presence on the high street by opening not closing branches. The Society took over a lease formerly occupied by the Leeds Building Society back in January 2021 before settling in to the new premises at 6b The Bulwalk, Brecon.
‘This is an exciting time for the Society as we emerge from the pandemic in a stronger position than we were just over 12 months ago,’ said the Society’s Chief Executive, Will Carroll. ‘Our strategy is driven by the needs of our members and while there is a strong appetite to develop our digital network and capabilities, members also want to be able to interact with us on a human level. Our approach is enabling us to do both.’
The team moved into the new branch on the 23rd August and will be taking a few weeks to settle in before hosting their opening celebrations on the 27th September 2021* when they will also draw the winner of the raffle. Terms and Conditions apply.

*The Society continues to implement COVID safe protocol in all its branches and will be carrying out a risk assessment with regards the number of people who can be in the branch at any one time. Members and visitors to the branch are asked to wear face coverings in the banking hall and not to attend if they have tested positive for COVID 19 or are displaying any symptoms.
Terms and Conditions
This raffle is free to enter for members and non-members aged 18 or over of the Monmouthshire Building Society who visit the Brecon Branch at 6a The Bulwark between 1st September and 25th September 2021 during normal business hours.
No purchase necessary and entrants are not required to hold any products with the Monmouthshire Building Society.
To enter the free raffle, visitors will need to provide their contact details.
Employees and their families are excluded from entering the raffle.
The Society will only use contact details provided as part of the raffle to notify the winner and these details will not be stored, kept or used by the Society for any other reason. For more information on the Society’s privacy notice, please visit https://www.monbs.com/privacy/
Winners must be over 18 years of age due to the hamper containing alcoholic products.
Items may contain allergens including gluten and nuts and the winner will need to check ingredients on the packaging of products against their own dietary needs.
Items contained in the hamper are perishable and the Society will not be responsible for any items exceeding the best before or use by dates after collection.
The winner will be selected at random on the 27th September from all entries received and will be notified by telephone within 14 days of the raffle being drawn.
The winner will need to collect the hamper from the Brecon Branch within 1 month of being contacted.
Details of the winner will be published on the Monmouthshire Building Society’s website within 14 days of the winner being notified.
If you are the winner, Monmouthshire Building Society may request you to participate in any publicity including but not limited to photographs for use on social media, press activity, the Society’s website, or internal communication systems.
The prize is not transferrable, and no cash alternative is available.
