Society Staff Raise Funds for Comic Relief

13 March 2015

Red Nose Day 2015

Staff members across the Society’s branch and agency network are busy helping to raise funds for Comic Relief, the charity which aims for a just world, free from poverty, throughout the day.

The Society is a long-term supporter of Comic Relief and our dedicated staff members are determined to raise the bar this year with a whole host of activities – from raffles and home-made-cake selling to wearing Disney Princess costumes at our Newport City Centre Branch.

Since its launch in 1988, Red Nose Day has become a British institution. It’s the day, every two years, when people across the UK get together and do something funny for money at home, school and work. Comic Relief spends the money raised by Red Nose Day to help people living tough lives across the UK and Africa.

Chief Executive, Andrew Lewis, commented: “The Society has marked Red Nose Day for quite some time now and this year we are determined to surpass the donations of previous years. Comic Relief is an inspiring charity that we’re all keen to get behind so we’re all digging deep and encouraging our customers to get in on the fundraising action throughout the day.”
